Big Bend Rentals
Terms

The fine print, made plain.

The terms for using the site and booking gear, stays, and trips. Kept short and kept fair. Last updated June 1, 2026.

Using this site

By using this website, you agree to these terms. The site and its content, including text, photography, and design, belong to Big Bend Rentals and are provided for your personal use in learning about and booking gear, stays, and trips. Please do not copy, resell, or misuse the content or attempt to disrupt the site.

Reservations

A reservation is confirmed when we follow up to verify your dates and details. You agree that the information you provide is accurate, that the primary driver of any vehicle rental is at least 25 with a valid license, and that you will follow our policies and the rules of Big Bend National Park.

Rates, availability, and any deposit are shown or confirmed at the time of booking. A refundable deposit holds vehicle and gear reservations, returned after the gear is back in good condition.

Cancellation

You receive a full refund for cancellations up to seven days before pickup. If the river or the backcountry roads close for safety, we will rebook you or refund you. Weather happens out here, and we plan for it.

Payments

Payments and deposits are processed securely by our payment provider. You authorize us to charge the card on file for the reservation, the deposit, and any loss or damage beyond ordinary wear, in line with the terms confirmed at booking. All rates are in US dollars and may be subject to applicable taxes and the separate park entrance fee.

Your responsibility outdoors

The desert is remote and unforgiving. You are responsible for your party, for driving only on designated routes, for carrying enough water, and for knowing your limits. Off-road driving, exceeding a vehicle's rated terrain, and ignoring posted closures void the rental and may forfeit your deposit.

Leave no trace. Pack out everything you pack in, stay on the trails and roads, and leave the springs, the ruins, and the quiet exactly as you found them. This is a condition of every rental, stay, and trip.

Liability

Outdoor activities carry inherent risk. Rafting, hiking, biking, 4x4 driving, and camping in a remote desert can result in injury or worse, and you take part at your own risk. We maintain our gear and guides to a high standard, but to the extent permitted by law, Big Bend Rentals is not liable for indirect or incidental loss arising from your use of the equipment, the property, or our guided trips. A signed liability waiver is required before any rental or trip. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. The terms in effect when you book apply to that reservation.
